Keurig Coffee Makers
Finally, coffee at home that's BETTER than a coffee shop! more
Last Christmas we were visiting with family and hearing a lot about how the Mrs. had purchased the Mr. a "special" coffee maker for Christmas. Seemed like an interesting, if unusual, gift - but we still weren't sure why this qualified as an extradorinary present. After dinner they broke their brand new Keurig coffee maker out of the box and we were treated to some of the best home-made coffee I've ever had. It all began to make sense. The one-cup-at-a-time brewing system made a fantastic cup of coffee.
Recently, I began to see "Keurig Ambassador" graphics on blogs and web sites and felt left out - how could I become a Keuring Ambassador? I contacted them and was told they weren't taking any more Ambassadors on but they would be happy to send me a machine to try out and review. So here it is:
I LOVE THIS COFFEE MAKER. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE - OR 2.
Really, we haven't been able to make good coffee at home snce we moved seven years ago. I've tried at least four other brewers and tried tap and bottled water. Several different brands of coffee. Cream and milk. Nothing worked - until now. Of course no coffee maker can make up for the yucky sulpher water that comes out of our tap but an inexpensive gallon of bottled spring water, a "K-cup" (the little pods of coffee that fit neatly into the Keurig coffee maker. Available at most grocery stores and Staples. The K-cups come in a variety of brands and flavors including teas and hot cocoas, my favorite is "Donut Shop". Hubbs likes "Sumatran Reserve" (he's normally a Starbucks fan.)), some half-and-half, and we are enjoying fantastic coffee within a few minutes.
Here's a video from fellow blogger "Type-A Parent" Kelby Carr on how easy it is:
Since receiving our wonderful Keurig Special Edition Brewer we've inspired several friends and relatives to purchase their own. The brewers are available in a variety of sizes with a price range that will fit any budget.
