Support Cook and Grow, a start-up organization whose mission is to teach 8-13 yr olds how to prep, cook and make healthier food choices. Cook and Grow will begin this fall as an after-school program in Bridgeport, CT. They are having a benefit event on Friday, August 12, 2011 (rain date Aug.19) from 5-8pm called Cook for Kids. The organizers would like for you to attend or invite others that may be interested in tasting cuisine by local chefs in the Michele Obama Community Garden located off of the children's wing of the downtown Burroughs & Saden branch of the Bridgeport Library.

Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. $20 for Friends of the Library. The payment information is below - same as the advertisng payment info.

If you can't make it or not interested in advertising, you can still donate any amount and be recognized in the ad booklet they will distribute to attendees. For donations, just indicate "Friends of Cook and Grow" in the memo line of your check.
