The Beyond Center,LLC opened in December 2009 in Vernon. A joint effort by psychic mediums REBECCA LOCICERO and JANINE BARZYA-LY, the center will host their regular classes in psychic development and mediumship as well as other programs and practitioners. The center is located in the Professional Building at 281 Hartford Turnpike (Route 30) just off I-84 Exit 65.

It is time to acknowledge your soul. What is a soul? How do we feel and describe our soul. What is individual and what is collective in description. Learning what that means to you is a process of acceptance. You will find that information unnecessary or necessary upon discernment or decision for your highest good connects to your soul. There are a hundred plus benefits to the practice of meditation. Possibly the single most important one is that it enables us to be fully present in the world and engage it with a different consciousness.

I have been an avid meditator for 35 years. I borrow from various traditions yet subscribe to none. I am also a Reiki Master and Color Healer and am available for sessions at The Beyond Center. Watch for upcoming classes on such subjects as medicine wheels, mindfulness practice and the Native American giveaway concept.~ Each meditation class will be different. We will explore different styles and techniques such as breathing, mindfulness, prayer, astral travel, intuitive development. We will try various techniques like walking meditation, meditating in nature, color meditations and guided meditations. And anything else you as a group would like to explore. Bring your ideas as well!

Starting in April! This is a 6 week course, outlined below. April 2- May 7.

Class 1::In this class we will focus on the importance of the breath and proper breathing techniques. Focusing on the breath while meditating can bring one to the inner depths of one's being.

Class 2 ::Guided meditations can be exhilarating. In this one that I call "Inner Sanctuary" we discover our sanctuary in our innermost being. Here we will invite our guides to join us and listen to the messages that are given.

Class 3 ::"Everything Speaks to Me"--A wonderful exercise in understanding our outer world. Most of the messages that the world and life is offering us all the time go unheard and unfollowed. This simple yet complex technique will enable the participants to more fully engage that world and life itself to hear the messages and understand that they are there all the time. A wonderful technique for bringing meditation to life!

Class 4 ::The Native American Giveaway-- the concept of this giveaway will be explored and applied to a meditation technique I developed. Native traditions follow the concept that to give of oneself is to bring honor to oneself. Those most revered in the tribe were the ones who gave the most away. My belief is that God has given us all a special gift, something that makes us all unique. We honor that gift by giving it away. Or in other words giving of ourselves in the fullest way possible. We honor that which God has given us by giving it to others. Thereby thanking God and truly helping others through The Giveaway. This meditation will help us to discover our gift and enable us to give it freely and give more freely of ourselves.

Class 5 ::Walking Meditation

This meditation will be done outdoors in a local park in Connecticut. It will help us to reconnect with our bodies and the natural world and truly brings meditation off of the cushion and helps us to bring it to life in a more practical sense. It will enable us to use meditation in our busy lives and not just while we are on the cushion.

Class 6 ::Gratefulness Meditation. In this class the power of gratefulness is explored. Being thankful for what one has roots in every spiritual tradition. In this meditation we will meditate on that which we are grateful for and keep our focus on the now. Too often we are too involved in the future and what we want then while forgetting the now and what we have. Which we often forget what we have because we are always chasing the future. This meditation grounds us in the now and helps us to honor that which has been given.
